Digital Reinterpretations

Digital Reinterpretations

These works begin with my original photographs and take them in a different direction.

Using a contemporary digital image-making process, I reinterpret selected photographs through the visual traditions of earlier illustrators and artists whose work explored similar subjects. The photograph provides the foundation, while the reinterpretation allows me to explore a more expressive, illustrative way of seeing.

These are not replacements for the original photographs. They are a different interpretation of the same moment, subject, or idea.
